RESEARCH

LiSi*A research is mainly about "Collective Transmedial Instant Composition". Their aim is to develop a decentralized composition method, which is fed by the magic of the moment, as well as by junctures and differences of various art disciplines on stage. LiSi*A widens the ranges of conventional art concepts, and at the same time deepen valuable structures to guarantee the most liberating art process in the present moment.

LiSi*A researches about the collective and transmedial aspect of instant compositions.

…collective means the opposite of centralized directing.

…transmedial means combination or communication between more than two medias like music, dance, lightening, visuals.

… instant means „creating in the present moment".

…composition means the process of creating a piece that includes audience, space, time and performer.

Which tasks or topics are liberating an instant composition and why? What structures do the instant composers use to be free in the improvisation? What are the ways of connection and communicating between the different medias?

Topics: Time, space, body, rules, senses and different medias are anker points for the research about collective communicational aspects of collective trans medial instant composition.

LiSi*A created a game score of four Archetypes to deepen the research about the collective and transmedial aspect of instant composition: performer, audience, frame-keeper, reflexion instance.

  1. Performer: responsability, openness

  2. Audience: free to watch, listen or sense, free to clap or not, to leave, to ask questions, to like and dislike

  3. Frame-keeper: can propose a task, a score or an open question for a preparing exercise or a collective transmedial instant composition that inherences what the performer is interested in and gives as most freedom as possible.

  4. Reflexion-Instance: observes the interaction of frame-keeper, performer and audience. Tries to be as neutral as possible without liking or disliking. Share observation or asks questions after a session.
